Alliance of Independent Sex Toy Testers

In a world where online reviews can often be biased or influenced, the Alliance of Independent Sex Toy Testers represents an oasis of sincerity and transparency. But what makes this alliance so special and why am I part of it now?

Discovering the alliance

I heard about this Alliance of Independent Sex Toy Testers at the same time as I came up with the idea of setting up my blog. Remember, my aim was to promote real, honest, fair, unbiased reviews of healthy (body-safe) sex toys with shops that sell safe products. And that’s still the case more than two years after I started. Even if not all the companies offering partnerships go in this direction…

Still, my initial need is the same as any of you. Will this sextoy really suit me? Is it worth the euros I’m going to spend on it? It was this need for honest, non-marketing answers that prompted me to launch my blog.

And I’d come across Ruby‘s blog, then on discovering the wedding ring, Grace ‘s (who I occasionally contacted afterwards) and I went to see what they were all offering. I browsed the various sites to find out what it meant to be a sextoy reviewer and how to do things properly.

What value should be placed on the Alliance?

Does a badge on the sidebar of a blog necessarily mean something? I don’t know. Anyone could add a badge. But the members of this alliance all share values that, for me, made good sense. So I contacted them, knowing that I couldn’t yet join, but with a view to getting some advice. I was just starting out on my blog and was thinking that maybe one day I’d be part of this alliance.

In today’s world of sex toys, every product promises to do wonders for your wallet. It’s vital to have access to opinions that are not influenced by commercial interests. This is where the Alliance comes into its own, offering a trusted space where every review is based on the real experience of its authors. And it’s only their experience, which may be different from yours… But these are true opinions.

But at the end of the day, being a member of this alliance, affixing this badge to my blog, means bringing you additional value. The fact that our work, although not certified, is recognised by a group of people fighting for values. Fighting to ensure that you have the right to real returns on sex toys, and not disguised sales.

Alliance values

  • All products recommended by the blog are body-safe.
  • All shops recommended by the blog are safe.
  • All blogs respect the diversity of gender and don’t gender sex toys as “male” or “female.”
  • All blogs are written by people who are passionate about the subjects they cover, not by people who are only trying to make money. Many of us make some money but it isn’t the main reason we write.
  • All of the writers in our alliance show honesty and authenticity in their reviews.
  • All of the writers of the blogs in our alliance can demonstrate that they genuinely own ALL the products that they review and recommend.
  • All writers are genuinely knowledgeable in their subjects. They don’t copy their content from elsewhere or “regurgitate” external content.
  • No blogs in the alliance contain discrimination, hate or material intended to shame/exclude.
  • No blogs in the alliance use questionable, unethical or uncompetitive methods to build links and advertise their website. In short — we are genuine bloggers.
