Review of ManWan’s suction cup for wand : Holden

To complement the review of the Man.Wand Evo 🦊 from ManWan 🦊, here’s the review of the universal suction cup for wand, the Holden 🛒. This is a battery-powered adapter for wand. This adaptor is fitted with a suction cup which means it can join you in the bathroom. So you can enjoy hands-free use, even if you still have to make the movements.

Let’s take a look at the Holden’s features and how I used it with the Man.Wand Evo and other vibrators.

Holden

360° view of the Holden

The Holden is made from 100% silicone 🦊. This is one of the healthiest materials for making sex toys, along with steel, glass and wood. Finally, if you’re interested, check out my article on the different healthy materials for sex toys 🦊.

It’s still not a sextoy, just an accessory. So is there any point in having a healthy, non-porous material? Yes, always. While we’re at it, we might as well avoid an accessory getting mouldy next to your sextoy, don’t you think?

The Holden is designed to hold your wand, and ManWan wanted to make this accessory almost universal. As long as your toy is between 2 and 4.5 centimetres in diameter, the Holden should meet your needs!

Materials: Silicone
Water resistant: Yes
Features: Compatible with wands between 2 and 4.5cm in diameter.
Weight : 108g
Dimensions: 6cm high x 7.5cm diameter
Wand depth : 5cm

The package

360° view of the Holden cabinet

As with the Man.Wand Evo, this box is textured/tactile. And I still love it! The box uses the same codes as the Man.Wand Evo. So I’m going to be lazy and not go into detail here.

In any case, this box tells us that ‘liquid silicone’ is used in its creation. This is a strange term, since all silicone is liquid before being hardened (cross-linked) to give it its final shape.

A pearl-like texture is present inside the holder…. But it shouldn’t be confused with a penis masturbator like the FeelSensation 🦊 is. So those spikes aren’t to give you sensations but to hold the wand.

Box contents

The box contains the Holden I introduced above and a storage bag. The storage bag is almost exactly the same. The size here is only 15x13cm, but that’s plenty big enough for the Holden. So I’m not going to paste a photo here, I might as well lighten the page.

However, here’s a photo of the suction cup, which is really strong, and the inside of the Holden with its studs.

Maintenance

Maintenance is simple. Normally, you shouldn’t have that much fluid on it. Or at least, no human fluids. And since you’ll be using it in the bath or shower, you should already have a bar of soap to hand.

So take this mild soap, warm water and your fingers. Then it’s up to you to clean it in every nook and cranny, under every pitoct, and that’ll be enough.

In any case, if you want to disinfect the suction cup for wand, the Holden from ManWan, it’s pretty simple. Put it in a pan of boiling water, put it in the dishwasher, use a solution of bleach diluted in 10% water or isopropyl alcohol… There’s no shortage of solutions with silicone, but I doubt you really need to go that far.

Use

How do I use the Holden suction cup for the ManWan wand?

A video is often more descriptive than a lot of words… But if you don’t click on the video, here are a few words.

All you have to do is apply a little force to make the suction cup stick to a smooth surface such as a tile on your bathroom wall. Then you can insert your favourite wand (in this case the Man.Wand Evo) by sliding it along the spikes inside the Holden. Then orientate the wand to your liking and you can switch it on and move it back and forth.

Universal?

Clearly, I’ve been looking for the little beast here. I wanted to test different sex toys to see what could or couldn’t be done with this Holden.

Man.Wand Evo plugged into the Holden

The Man.Wand Evo is fully compatible with the Holden, which was also designed for this purpose.

Kiiroo ProWand plugged into the Holden

The ProWand 🛒 from Kiiroo 🦊 also works without a hitch, but it remains to be seen whether she’ll use it in the bathroom…

It’s a failure for the Liebe of Love.not.War inside the Holden

Please note, the Liebe 🦊 is not a wand but just a vibrator. So for it not to be supported by Holden is completely normal. But hey, I had it to hand so I took a look.

That leaves the Doxy Die Cast 🛒 supplied to me by Just Pleasure 🛒 but it’s a real failure here. The Doxy Die Cast has a power cord at its base which makes it impossible to put it in the Holden. That’s why I said in the introduction that you should reserve this wand holder for your battery-powered sex toys. I couldn’t find a clear way of taking a photo, so there isn’t one!

My first impressions

As far as I’m concerned, I’m not entirely convinced by the usefulness of the Holden with the Man.Wand Evo. The problem is that this sextoy clearly needs to be used ‘sideways’. So if I put it on the tiled bathroom wall, my sex has to be at the same height as the Holden’s head.

The latter has an extension of 18 centimetres in the Holden. This means that from the wall to the middle of the head of the Man.Wand Evo, where you will insert your penis, there are 18 centimetres.

For my part, if I’m up against the wall, or at least my hip, my penis is 22 centimetres from the wall. And if I don’t want to be positioned against the wall, which is uncomfortable, I need at least 25 centimetres. These last two measurements will depend on each person.

In fact, when I’m in the bath, I lose even more distance and I have to go at an angle, which isn’t easy. And in the shower, it’s better but… It’s not pleasant enough.

With another vibrator, such as the ProWand, I wouldn’t have had this problem because I can stand parallel to the wall and do my thing. With the Man.Wand Evo, I have to be perpendicular to the wall and that doesn’t work.

You need to be able to lengthen the part between the suction cup and where the base of the wand will be positioned. In my opinion, five centimetres would be a minimum.

Availability

It’s only at this point in writing the review that I’m wondering how long this suction cup has been on the market. The simplest thing would have been to ask the brand directly, but as I didn’t do that, I’m guessing that the Holden 🛒 has been available since the 4th quarter of 2024, around October, I can’t find any previous communication.

It is available in two metallic colours: black (the one I have) and polar blue.

It costs 24.99€ or $. You can reduce this price by using the same code I found for the Man.Wand Evo, i.e. “VDM” for a 20% discount.

The reduced price is therefore €/$19.99.

Conclusion

Pros

  • Compatible with others wands on the market
  • Grips well the wand

Cons

  • It’s ok with the Holden but not really user friendly

The Holden is a good idea, but for the wrong toy as it is. For a ProWand, it would be great. You set the height at which you want to put the suction cup and then it’s up to you. For the ManWand. Evo, I find myself positioning the Holden correctly in relation to my height, but then… I have to adopt an uncomfortable position to enjoy my sextoy. In the end, it’s counter-productive and I don’t enjoy using it.
