Review of the ManWan wand penis vibrator : Man.Wand Evo

It’s a French-designed product that I’m going to introduce today: the Man.Wand Evo 🛒, a penis vibrator from ManWan🦊. This wand-shaped sextoy, or “Magic Wand”, aims to stimulate the penis in a targeted way. I didn’t knew how to translate it properly into French because talking about a magic wand isn’t really representative while translated. I’m neither a fairy nor a wizard. And we all know that the wand chooses its sorcerer and the reasons are not always obvious…

The Man.Wand Evo is a vibrating wand designed to stimulate the penis. But it doesn’t just stimulate the frenulum! According to the manufacturer, it also has a rounded end to stimulate the clitoris.

So we have a new addition to the family of sex toys that allow you to achieve a penile orgasm without your hands. I already had the Gush🦊as well as the Pulse Solo Interactive🦊which allow you to have an orgasm without making the slightest movement. On its own, this newcomer doesn’t offer a hands-free experience. However, that’s without counting on one accessory: the Holden 🦊. But without movement? Clearly it can. Let’s take a look at it in great detail.

This is what the Man.Wand Evo looks like. This vibrating stimulator is designed primarily, but not exclusively, for people with penises. Its ergonomic design features a soft silicone head and ergonomic handle. The head is fitted with flexible silicone wings that can be adjusted. This means you can wrap the head around the shaft or glans for precise stimulation. As an added bonus, the head is slightly flexible, making this penis vibrator a little more ergonomic.

This sextoy, available since 2018, has changed little visually since its release. From an appearance point of view, it’s mainly the lower part, which was metallic at the time, that has evolved. However, in terms of functionality, we used to have all the modes and speeds to switch through one after the other, which is no longer the case. The Man.Wand Evo penis vibrator is made from silicone 🦊 which is non-porous and sterilisable, so it won’t harbour bacteria.

Functionally, it has three buttons. The first allows you to switch on and off, the second to toggle between five different modes, and the last has five speeds. However, it also has another function available in the first mode: Crescendo mode. As you can imagine, this allows you to gradually increase the intensity of the vibrations while switching back to continuous vibration mode. To do this, all you have to do is press and release the button at the chosen intensity level.

A bonus feature on the Man.Wand Evo is the travel lock. If you press the ON/OFF button three times quickly, it will vibrate three times to indicate that it is locked. From there, it’s impossible to switch it on without briefly pressing it three more times… This prevents your sextoy from draining its battery in the suitcase.

The first discussions with ManWan took place in December 2024. They wanted to relaunch the brand and after sharing with me a link to their shop, I did my usual bit to see if I wanted to work with them or not. Last but not least, I had to get back into the swing of things in January because I wasn’t very available. In the end, I contacted the brand again at the beginning of February and things went very quickly.

In any case, it was in the first fortnight of February that I received confirmation from the Product Manager that the order was going to be dispatched (with the Holden and the SUB.one 🛒, which I’ll probably review later). One week: that’s how long it took between the email and the receipt of the parcel. A rather large parcel for its contents, to be quite frank. So we discovered its contents together with Madame after her bath.

This box alone is a sensory experience in its own right. “You’re overdoing it, a box set is a box set”.

Well, no. Because the front and left sides of this case feature a wave pattern in relief. Starting from the head of the Man.Wand Evo, and radiating out over the rest of the sides. And you can feel it on your fingertips. So that alone was a real bonus.

The front panel shows us that this is a “vibrating stimulator” from ManWan. The sextoy, available in three colours, comes in ‘Black Plum’. A kind of glittery black that looks pretty classy.

On the right-hand side, some technical information reveals that the toy can be used in the bath or shower, is USB rechargeable, has several modes and is powerful. I don’t see why not. There’s also a small text, in English and then in French, extolling the virtues of the brand.

The rear panel shows several images of the silicone stimulator, but the captions are in English. The most observant will notice that the wings and the handle are slightly textured. This makes it easier to hold and gives a better feel.

To open it, you need to use the little fabric pull-tab on the top of the box.

Well, if I had something to say at the outset, it’s sorry for the dust on the video of the Man.Wand Evo. The silicone used is very soft and pleasant to the touch, but it’s a real dust magnet.

Apart from that, I’ve already given a number of incitements to this sextoy in the presentation section above, so I won’t go into unnecessary detail again here.

The bag measures 11*25 centimetres and is fitted with a double drawstring to close the bag. Simply pull on the ties (once the Man.Wand Evo is inside the storage bag, of course) to close the bag easily and effectively.

The brand logo appears in silver at the bottom centre, and the fabric is breathable but opaque enough to prevent you from knowing what’s inside.

Generic cable (I’ve got lots of similar ones from other brands) with a brand sticker on it. It’s 80 centimetres long and allows your Man.Wand Evo to recharge its lithium battery without it getting wet in the shower, bath… or when you’re cleaning your sextoy.

Well, it’s not the cable itself that does this, but the magnetic charging port on the vibrator. The manual states that there’s an LED to indicate whether there’s less than ten per cent charge left or whether charging is complete. So yes, there should be an LED, but it’s mainly the buttons that have thinner silicone around the edges and the light shines through.

When fully charged, the device will flash white and stop when charging is complete.

These two manuals are written in French and English for the first, while Spanish, Italian, German and Dutch are added for the second.

They are useful to read and will provide a little more specific information, which I won’t go into in this review, but this information will rarely be of use. They include product characteristics, warnings and cautions, instructions for use, a concept of battery irreparability (aouch), as well as cleaning, maintenance, product warranty, how to contact customer service…

Every sextoy needs to be cleaned before it’s used for the first time, which is why I’ve mentioned this before going on to explain how to really enjoy the Man.Wand Evo.

Silicone, the main material of this sextoy, is healthy for the body, non-toxic and non-porous. If this were a sextoy without electronics, I could suggest putting it in a saucepan (as I did with the Alla 🦊) and off you go for 10 minutes in boiling water. Or even put it in the dishwasher. However, if you do it there, you risk big with the battery and electronics. So I hope you’ve got to the end of this paragraph.

To clean this sextoy, use lukewarm water and a neutral soap. It should then be dried in the open air or with a lint-free cloth and stored in its case, away from other sextoys if you have any in dubious materials.

ManWan advises against using alcohol, acetone or petroleum-based cleaners. So I don’t know why you shouldn’t use an alcohol-based cleaner, because isopropyl alcohol has never failed to disinfect my silicone toys… Just like bleach in a 10/90 aqueous solution. Acetone, on the other hand, will attack the structure of the silicone and make your toy more susceptible to the proliferation of microbes…

Even using a vibrator for the first time, it’s quite instinctive. There’s the penis on one side, a U-shaped area on the other… All you have to do is position your penis in the U and enjoy the sensations. Of course, if you don’t switch on the Man.Wand Evo, the sensations are likely to be very limited.

On the other hand, and at least because I’m receptive to frenulum vibrations, once it’s switched on it’s super efficient. To switch it on, all you have to do is press the bottom button for a few seconds. It will start vibrating straight away at the lowest setting. If you’re planning to make movements along your penis, the use of a water-based lubricant is more than recommended. This will prevent excessive friction, dry skin (and therefore micro-cuts and irritations), pain or discomfort. On the other hand, ‘dry’ use without movement is perfectly possible.

The wings are positioned on either side of the penis. They ‘beat’ the penis to the rhythm of the vibrations, providing pleasant extra stimulation.

In any case, whether it was on my penis or on dildos, I could see that the Man.Wand Evo positioned itself correctly and without fuss. It fits different penis sizes perfectly, even on some of the more fantastic ones like Nothosaur 🦊.

The flexibility of the wings on this penile vibrator prevents excessive pressure or a pinching sensation, which for me is a plus.

My working environment (or pleasure environment) is 38 dB under normal circumstances. That is, when I’m not using my mechanical keyboard (which goes up to 58dB), when there’s no music coming out of the speakers… Similarly, for reference, clicking on a button on the Man.Wand Evo raises the sound level (for the time of a click) to 57 dB.

Now, how does this sextoy perform in real use?

Well, it’s quite satisfactory! The first level of intensity only increases the noise to 42dB and this rises to 48dB at the maximum! That’s a ridiculously low level of noise, which is sure to please anyone who wants to enjoy themselves without alarming a flatmate.

My first words were “it’s almost good”. I was treated to a detailed comparison with Kiiroo‘s ProWand 🛒 🦊but that’s not who we’re reviewing today.

From an ergonomic point of view, Madame criticises the fact that the head can be tilted, which is good but not enough, and this tilt requires too much strength, it’s too hard. It needs to be more flexible and softer. The buttons are also too hard and it’s complicated to switch between the different levels and speeds. Well, for me it was fine… But this is his part.

However, once switched on, the patterns are good and follow each other very well. On the other hand, she regrets that the frequency of the vibrations is too high, too high from the start, at the lowest level. She ends up being over-stimulated, which makes her feel the heartbeat directly in her private area. What’s more, this overstimulation prevents her from reaching orgasm.

On the other hand, she finds the wings useful for stimulating the clitoris, even though they are slightly too soft to be effective in delivering precise vibrations.

In any case, she thinks it’s really cool to have a sextoy for the couple. Its versatility means that both partners can play with the same toy.

That’s probably where the problem lies for me. Mind you, we’re not talking about a fault in the sextoy. We’re talking about the absence of a feature that would take it to another level.

No bluetooth or wifi transmitter/receiver on this sextoy. It is therefore impossible to use it from an application. It’s also impossible to give control of the vibrations to a third party or an application.

Not all sex toys can offer this, but since this sextoy has blown out quite a few candles, it might be interesting for ManWan to think about upgrading it with this capability. Possibly via a partnership with Kiiroo if they don’t know how to handle that part.

In any case, although it’s not essential, this sextoy would benefit from additional functionality via a Bluetooth connector.

• sharing control for a long-distance relationship
• manage the power of the vibrations and, if necessary, reduce them to suit the user

Well, that’s the game… This sextoy is sold without interconnectivity, it already has a lot to offer but it would be better with it.

So I’m talking about a bonus… But the Holden is a paying accessory. To put it simply, it’s an adaptor with a suction cup so you can use the Man.Wand Evo hands-free in the shower.

Today, I finally have a Magic Wand, geared towards penile pleasure. I had the Doxy Die Cast 🛒 supplied to me by Just Pleasure 🦊 as well as Kiiroo’s ProWand. But have you read the reviews? No… And this is because these two vibrators are resolutely geared towards clitoral pleasure, it’s more complicated for me to write the review because it’s done four-handed. In the case of the Man.Wand Evo, I really enjoyed writing this review.

For me, this sextoy is a success. Where the first version was roundly criticised by other reviewers, ManWan has taken into account the feedback to improve this vibrator and make an ergonomic unisex version. Admittedly, this is my feedback and not necessarily that of Madame… But she remains open to its use within the couple.

Clearly, I’m now wondering whether I should take the Pulse or the Man.Wand Evo with me on a business trip next week.
