Review of the Virgo Throne from Nothosaur

Virgo Throne 🛒is my second penis masturbator made from silicone🦊. I specify “silicone” as I have many made of TPE🦊but they won’t last as long. This sextoy was created by Nothosaur🦊, just like the one I tested previously. It’s true that if you go to their masturbator category today , you’ll only see this product. But that’s only because the Hundoo🦊is no longer sold.

So will the Virgo Throne show me a better side of silicone penis masturbators? I hope so, because another disappointment could put the brakes on my decision to go down this route. Or maybe I should try another brand.

Virgo Throne

360° view of Virgo Throne

To look at it, the Virgo Throne doesn’t give the impression of being a sextoy. It’s a flexible object, 18 centimetres high and 10 centimetres ‘in diameter’. Diameter isn’t the right word because it’s not a regular shape, but you can get the general idea by watching the video just above.

This sextoy is made from 860 grams of platinum-solidified silicone. This material is non-toxic and non-porous, so you can sterilise it and keep it for many, many years.

I chose the default ‘Angel’ colour, which adds golden highlights and lots of very fine glitter to the material. I really like it visually. However, it’s possible to make it in your own colours too.

Receipt of parcel

I contacted Nothosaur to order the Virgo Throne at the same time as the Anubis🛒. I received the parcel on 28 May 2024, two days before blowing out new candles and just over a week after ordering….

However, it took me several months to be able to test it properly, hence the delay between receiving it and publishing this review!

In any case, opening the parcels received by Nothosaur is always a pleasure. It’s a bit like when I used to open Magic boosters and wonder what I was going to get inside… Because there are goodies.

The Virgo Throne penis masturbator, the Anubis dildo and some goodies

Nothosaur card

Nothosaur card featuring their dragon mascot on the front and various information on the back.

It’s a plastic-looking card. It used to be cardboard, but they’ve changed that. Anyway, I get one for every order so I collect them but… I don’t really know why.

Keyring Mr. Amar

A key ring showing Mr Amar’s private parts.

I had to look up which persona these genital attributes corresponded to and it was Mr Amar🛒. As you can see from the lack of criticism about him on my blog, I don’t have it.

It’s not something I use, though, because of the way it looks. Still, there are several different key rings, so who knows… Maybe next time I’ll get one that suits my needs better.

Sheet of stickers

Sheet of stickers representing different toys and personas from the world of Nothosaur

If they’re innocent enough, I’ll stick some of these stickers on the front of my laptop, which I use for my business! At the moment I’ve only got three.

Innocent enough because in public, I still find it hard to talk about this sextoy review business… So I’m not going around with penis-shaped stickers (or keyrings). Although in the meantime, I’ve received a parcel from RoseBud with an anal plug AND a keyring with a mini anal plug… Now I’m almost wondering…

Storage bag

A cloth bag to store toys when not in use (and after they’ve been thoroughly cleaned!)

These bags are big enough to hold just about any sextoy sold by the brand. I say just about, because they’ve done a great job with the Graemen Legendaire, with a head that’s almost 7 centimetres in diameter and 42 centimetres high… Where the bag is 47 centimetres high and 27 centimetres wide, but with the cord, ‘only’ 42 centimetres are usable in height.

And there’s no need to worry about putting several in the same bag, as silicone toys don’t interact with each other.

Appearance of the Virgo Throne

I really like the look of Virgo Throne, particularly the colours. It reminds me of the exoskeleton of a sea creature, like a crab with its legs folded up. So yes, the idea was, as you can see from the side images, to represent the wings of an angel… but that’s not really what I see.

As far as the colours are concerned, the gold cameo look is pretty good. If you look closely enough, you can make out very fine gold flakes that are quite pleasing visually.

The underside and interior of the toy are white, however, so there is little or no colour pigment there. In any case, this base is very stable and can simply allow you to expose this sextoy. Note that this is a sticky part, fortunately it’s the only one.

On both sides of the toy, behind the wings, there are four-pointed stars, and the left side also features the Nothosaur logo.

The silicone is very flexible, although rather thick! You can count on no less than 3 centimetres of silicone all around the duct of this sheath. The duct itself is around 2.5 centimetres in diameter. Even if the silicone can be extended to increase this size considerably (tripling it), it remains less flexible and less welcoming than TPE.

Textures of the Virgo Throne

As we mentioned earlier, this sheath consists of a single chamber, from the orifice to the final hole. However, the texture inside doesn’t start until the fourth centimetre, according to the tape measure I’ve inserted.

The duct is sinuous, or at least it gives the impression of being sinuous, with three beaded grooves running the length of the duct. Well, except for the first four centimetres. Each little pearl, protuberance, call it what you will, is 6 millimetres high. As you can imagine, this is what’s going to give you the most thrills.

Maintenance

All sextoys must be cleaned before the first use and after each use. What’s more, if you want to share it with someone else, or give it to someone else, it needs to be disinfected. The same applies if you ever want to use a sextoy on several different orifices. This shouldn’t be the case with this one though.

Cleaning

Cleaning the Virgo Throne is really simple. All you have to do is point it vertically at your washbasin and turn on the tap at one end so that the water, and gravity, removes most of the fluid. Next, I suggest you use a neutral soap to clean the entire liner with your fingers. You need to do this carefully to make sure you remove anything that could allow bacteria to develop during storage.

Next, rinse the toy thoroughly and then either disinfect or dry it.

Disinfection

There are several simple methods for disinfecting a silicone sextoy.

You can simply put your sextoy in the dishwasher on a hot programme and retrieve it later.

You can also put it in a pan of boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes. I had already shown this a photo when I was cooking Alla🦊.

A third possibility is to use a solution of bleach diluted with water; 10% bleach to 90% water for 10 minutes (there’s no point in leaving it any longer as the bleach will have disappeared).

The last solution is to use 70% isopropyl alcohol, in which you put the sextoy for 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.

Drying

Drying can be done in the open air but I prefer to do it myself.

As it is, simply use a lint-free towel and insert it into one end, then the other, to remove any remaining drops of water.

Should any remain, it will dry naturally. Silicone isn’t porous, so there’s nothing to worry about. You can always use a diatomite stick🦊if you feel like it, but I find this unnecessary.

Use

Normally, entry is from the top… but to do that, you’ll need to lubricate well! And a water-based lubricant please, as a silicone-based lubricant would ensure a very short life for this sextoy. So a water-based one!

Once you’ve lubricated your member and toy, you can proceed, but beware: the entrance isn’t the gentlest and you’ll have to work your way inside.

Once you’re in position, you’re free to let your imagination run wild with all the speed, depth and angle of penetration you can muster.

Note that because it’s flexible, you can compress it a little vertically if you want to go all the way.

First impressions

Sheath inlet

As I explained earlier, I found the entry hole complicated…

You need to lubricate well to avoid friction, or rather to limit it. It’s not exactly the most pleasant sensation I’ve experienced so far. I mainly used the Histoire d’eau🦊lubricant because its gel texture allowed a measured application in the fairly wide duct of the sheath. With a more liquid lubricant, I would have had to pour some in by tilting the duct.

Unlike TPE, silicone doesn’t have that skin-like texture. Even though Nothosaur has taken care to use flexible silicone, it’s still a fairly hard material, much harder than skin, but much less than bone. Difficult to give a good comparative measurement though. But as it stands, it’s the penis that’s softer, and it’s the penis that’s going to ‘shape’ itself as it enters to make its way.

First room

Once inside, the first few centimetres aren’t exactly the most intoxicating either. It’s a thin collar followed by a line of pearls. This generates sensations due to the friction, yes… But not necessarily delicious sensations.

That’s almost six centimetres, which I don’t think adds much. It’s unfortunate to write this, but perhaps it has something to do with the way I appreciate a penis masturbator… But the Virgo Throne lacks pizzazz. For those with a penis of less than 10 centimetres, the results will be inconclusive.

Second room

So I have to wait until I go a little further, into this second chamber, before I really feel the stimulation that gives me pleasure. Feeling the different textures (pearls) offers sensations.

As far as I’m concerned, I think there’s a big improvement between the Hundoo, which was painful to penetrate, and this Virgo Throne. However, I still don’t feel very comfortable. I still feel compression on my penis, which is greater than when the material surrounding it is TPE.

The question then arises as to whether this could simulate a slightly too vigorous grip during manual masturbation… Which could lead to death grip syndrome. It’s just a fleeting thought, but it’s there all the same.

Upside down?

On reflection, I decided to use the other orifice, even though it wasn’t designed for it, and the sensations were slightly more pleasant.

There’s no complicated insertion of the double crab clamp to close off access to the orifice. It’s directly open. Less visually stimulating, of course… But open.

As soon as you arrive, the pearls are there and twelve centimetres long. Clearly better. The penis is much more comfortable this way, the glans a little less stimulated when I reach the end of my stroke, but that’s not so important.

I can do complete or almost complete insertions/withdrawals without a slightly unpleasant sensation. This is what suits me best.

Availability

The Virgo Throne🛒has now been available for a few months. Since the end of March 2024, on the 28th to be precise.

One size fits all, and the price will stay that way too: $99.

Well, it is possible to get a different, higher price if you choose to customise the colour. The price increases by

  • $10 for a single colour
  • $20 for two colours depending on relief
  • $20 for a 2-colour marble stain
  • $25 for a 3-colour marble stain

For your first order, I advise you to go to their discord and get a 15% discount voucher, valid only once.

If you have already ordered from them, use the code “PapaRenard10” for a 10% discount on your order.

Conclusion

Pros

  • Beautiful colours!
  • Interesting design that doesn’t reveal much about the NSFW side of things
  • A stimulating second room

Cons

  • Orifice not easy to pass through
  • Still to firm
  • Unstimulating first room

So yes, things have improved. It won’t be the first sextoy I turn to for a solitary pleasure session… But that’s OK. However, at this price, unless you really want to invest only in sextoys made from healthy materials, I have to wonder.

It can be completely cleaned and disinfected, but I don’t like the feel of it as much as a FeelStroker.

Is it Nothosaur’s recipe for improvement? This is only their second penis masturbator. Although, as I write this, I remember the “Meo Head” which cost several hundred dollars and which has also disappeared.

The Virgo Throne is better than the Hundoo was, but I don’t think I’d recommend it. I’d like to try another brand of silicone penis masturbator and see what I think. Are all silicone penis masturbators like this? Do not hesitate to share your opinions with me and possibly recommend another sextoy for comparison.
